Welcome to Live Like Locals Jacksonville

Welcome to Live Like Locals Jacksonville. We’re so excited to launch our upcoming website and social media platforms after having spend several years growing our brand in Savannah, Georgia.
We are in the midst of rebranding in both cities due to two big occurrences. The first affected everyone and that was the covid pandemic. The second one was because of cancer.
Our owner, Jose, has been battling Stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for a little over a year now and after spending much time thinking about the direction of Live Like Locals has decided to make some changes to what we do. If you would like to connect more with him, he currently runs his own newsletter, website and social media called ‘Today with Jose’.
There are currently many companies and websites that provide news and event information in Jacksonville, that isn’t the direction in which we wish to go. In the past we had a video series, that we may bring back one day, that featured the Top Five Events of the week, but for now we want to focus on helping makers and local businesses sell their products online.
We hope to feature hundreds of products that consumers, the majority of those consumers being from Jacksonville, can purchase directly from our online local marketplace. The great thing about the marketplace being online is that you really can’t control people from anywhere in the U.S from purchasing providing a great opportunity for makers, businesses, and designers to reach consumers in other states.
The second feature that we want to work on is highlighting and helping local individuals and/or families raise money to help them through difficult times like those experiencing cancer. Jose has discovered that sometimes right in our own communities and neighborhoods there are individuals that can use our help and sadly we don’t even know who they are, and they unfortunately don’t know how to ask for help. We want to help make that a little easier for a few families. We’ll roll out the details on that at a later date.
In the meantime, we’ll share local news and events that we find interesting through our website, social media and through our 5-minute newsletter that we’ll be sending out on a regular basis. We encourage you to follow us as we begin to establish the foundation necessary to help others.
